Kamal Kavidhai - A Dissection ??? (May be!!)

Hey all. Just wanted to share the lyrics and its tranlation of "Kamal Kavidhai" from Manamdhan Ambu ,as I mentioned earlier in my review, it has very sensual content and may not be suitable for all ages :D
[PG-13] stuff
Thanks to http://www.ramyuva.com  for providing the English translation (I have added a few things though)

Hats off  to Thalaivar for penning down such lyrics with very deep meaning, which most of the other lyricists (existing or old ones) would never dare to..

Here goes the lyrics followed by its translation. Thanks to few of my friends and some random websites from where I could find the part of lyrics which I couldn't grab after umpteen times listening to it.

Music: Devi Sri Prasad
Lyrics: Thalaivar
Sung by: Thalaivar , Thrisha
(FYI: Thalaivar alias Kamal Hassan)

Lyrics:

kannodu kannai kalanthalendraal
kalangam ullaval echarikkai

If she looks straight into your eyes,
She has no dignity, so beware

udane kaiyudan kai korthalaa?
ozhukkam kettaval echarikkai

Did she hold hands with you in an instant?
She is a (bitch), beware

aadai kalaigayil kooduthal pesinaal
anubavam mikkaval echarikkai

If she talks aplenty while undressing,
She has plenty of experience (on bed), beware

kalavi mudinthapin kidanthu pesinaal
kadhalaai maaralaam echarikkai

If she talks aplenty after intercourse,
She might fall in love with you, so beware

kavithai ilakkiyam pesinalaayin
kaasai mathiyaal echarikkai

If she speaks of literature and poems,
She is one who will have no respect for money, so beware

unnudan iruppathu sugamendralaa
urithiyaai sikkal echarikkai

Does she say she loves being with you and wants to remain with you?
That’s definite trouble, beware.

aruvadai kolmudhal endrey kaamam
amaivathu podhuve nalamaaga-k-kol

Just like how you wait for the seeds to grow after you plough,
Treat lust just as such, Reap it only when the time is Ripe

koottal ondrey kuriyendrana pin
kazhivadhu kaamam mattum enakkol

If being together is the only purpose of all,
Lust can wait to be secondary

unnai mangayar ennena kolvar?
yosikkamal varuvathai edhir kol

Do not think too much about what women think about you,
Take life as it comes your path

munnum pinnum aattum sagadai
aanum pennum adhuve ena kol

Men and women are like the dice,
It goes either way. There is no superiority

kaamam enappadum pandai seyalil
kadhal kalavaathu kaathu kol

In an act as bygone as lust,
Assure that love doesn’t get mixed into it

ip-pennuraik-ethiraai aanurai ondrai
iyattra thuniyum ani serthu kol
Basically conveys that there is no superiority
among the two sexes (even in the contraception!!)

m: iyattra thuniyum ani serthu-kanumaa?
thunive aniyum thunai endrana pin
aniyondru etharkku?
thaniye varuven...

f: appadi vaanga vazhikku
oh... neenga kavingar thaane?

m: guilty as accused
f: appo judgement solren
m: sollunga
f: padhilukku oru kavithai sollanum

m: yaarukku ??? !!!
f: adhu kavithaya ketta thaane theriyum

f: yen... pengalai pathi keliya?
m: cha cha .. idhu oru pennudaya venduthal maathiri

f: kavithaya ketta kelvi kuri acharya kuriya maaraalam illiya
m: hmmm... may be... may i?
f: please

Now, the reply from Hero

Kalavi seigayil kathil pesi
kanivaai melithaai kazuthai kavvum
vellai palichidum parkkal vendum

I want a husband, With white perfect teeth,
Who will whisper slowly into ears after intercourse,

And gently bite my neck,

kadum nantramillatha vaayum vendum
kama kazhivugal kazhuvum velaiyum
kooda nindravan udhavida vendum
samayalin podhum udhavida vendum
saaindhu negizhnthida thinthol vendum

I want a husband,
Who smells like a baby, sans any smell in his mouth,
I want a husband, who after intercourse,
Stays back and helps me wash off the acts of lust,
And not be disgusted by it
I want a husband,
Who will help me while I’m cooking;
I want a husband,
Who will provide me with a shoulder to lie on

modhi kobam theerkka vasathiyaai
paarai pathathil nenjum vendum
adharku pinnal thudikkum idayamum
adhu ratham paaichi neguzhthiya sinthayum

At times when I want release my anger,
He should have a chest as strong as rock to take my hits,
But beyond that chest, I want a soft, compassionate heart,
I want him to have a head with big brains,
I want him to have loads of savings in his bank account;

nermai vendum bakthiyum vendum
enakena suthanthiram ketkum velayil
pagutharigindra buthiyum vendum

I want loyalty, I want devotion,
At times when I demand for my own freedom,
I want him to have the presence of mind to grant me my freedom;

ippadi kanavan varavendum ena naan
onbathu naatkal nonbu irunthen
varam tharuvaal ena varalakshi-ena
kadum nonbu mudinthum thedi ponen

So that I’ll get a husband as such,
I prayed for nine days, (Navarathri),
And I went searching for the one believing that my Varalakshmi will grant my wishes;

f: thedi enga ponaa andha ponnu
m: beach-kku thaan

podi nadai potte idai meliyavela
kadarkarai thorum kalayum maalayum
thonthi ganapathigal thirivathu kanden
mutrum thuranthu mangayordu
ammana thuravigal koodida kanden

As I placed my feminine steps on the beach and walked,
I saw men with big fat bellies walking the beach;
I saw saints,
Who gave up all their posessions, and submitted themselves to the will of God;
(naked, sans property of clothes)

f: engey ? tv-iliyo?
m: issshhhhhhhh

mootha akkal kanavanukku
mukkkal thaguthigal irunthum kooda
akkalilla velayile avan
sakkalathi vendum endraan
ekkulamaanaal enna endru
vetru madham varai thedi paarthen
varavara purusha lakshanam ullavar
thirumana santhayil migamiga kuraivu

Who were sleeping on bed with naked women;
I saw my elder sister’s husband;
Even though he fits most of my criterias,
At moments when my sister is not around,
He desires for a (keep, extra marital fling),
I stopped caring about religion and race,
And I searched everywhere,
But I realized men with husband material are a rarity in the marriage market

varamthara ketta varalakshmi unakku
veettukaarar amainthathu eppadi?
nee ketta varangal eduvarai palithathu?
urangi konde irukkum unthan
aranganathan aal eppadi?

I ask my Varalakshmi again.
From you I asked a wish to be granted.
I shall ask you Varalakshmi,
How did you find your husband?

How far did your wishes come true as far as your husband is concerned?
How is your man, whom I can only see lying down all the time?

prabantham sollum athanai settayum
vaasthavamaaga nadappathu undo?
idhuvum adhuvum udhuvum seyyum
iniya kanavar yaarkumundo?

(Referring to Lord Vishnu)
All the stories that are told about your husband,
Did they happen for real?
Does any woman, you (Varalakshmi) included, ever get the husband who fits all the criteria?

unakkenumathu amayapettraal
unmayileye athirshtasaalithaan
nee adhupol enakkum amayaseyyen
sri varalakshmi namosthudhey.

If it really came true for you, you are truly lucky;
If as such; do give similar luck in finding,
Sri Varalakshmi Namostutey.

Manmadhan Ambu audio review - A Sneek Peek

                                                       Manmadhan Ambu

Here goes my review of the much awaited audio of the Kamal-Maddy-Thrisha starrer "MANMADHAN AMBU"
PS: I'm penning this one as I'm listening to each number (Can't resist the itch to write you see!!!!)

1. Dhagudhu Dhattam
    Kamal Hassan

This one is a stylish Dappankuthu. Reminds me of the song "Sandhu pottu sandhana pottu" from Devar   Magan.
"SAMA DHAANAM VEDHA DHANDAM NAALUM  THOTHRU POGUM POZHUDHU" is the punch line as far this song goes :-)
Kamal exels in his own style of singing (Alwarpettai - Vasool Raja , Kandasamy - PKS ,etc..)
I expect this to be a hit among the masses

1 line review : Stylish Dhappankuthu , Mass number

2. Neela Vaanam
    Kamal Hassan , Priya Himesh

Another silky melody from Thalaivar. A total contrast from the previous song.
This one slips through as smooth as Honey
Thalaivar shifts through scales with ease. Very deep and meaning lyrics.
The Violin BGM of Neela vanam stands out and the chords in the later half takes you apart
This one would top the charts for sure. I bet it will impress anyone the very first time!!

1 line review : Silky melody , Chart Topper

3. Oyyale
   Singers : Mukesh , Suchithra

A trademark DSP song. Okayish rendering from Mukesh and Suchitra.
The fate of this song depends on the picturization
This might take a few rounds of listening before it sinks in.

1 line review : Routine DSP number ,  picturization might just save it

4. Manmadhan Ambu
    DSP

Another trademark peppy number from DSP. I assume this would be the title track
Nothing great about the song and nothing bad too, just an average song
DSP's rustic voice adds a bit of flavour to the otherwise average song

1 line review : Another Trademark song from DSP's closet

5. Whos's the hero..
    Andrea

Interesting composition this one. A very groovy number and Andrea does a fabulous job , much   different from her previous ones. I'm not sure if this one goes under the genere "Blues" or "Jazz" , I personally feel its more inclined towards "Blues". Do let me know if you are sure what it exactly is :-)
Overall a very good experience

   1 line review : Groovy

6.  Kamal Kavidhai
    Kamal , Thrisha

No no no.. Dont worry Thrisha doesn't sing and it's for Adults(A) only  :D
Okay.. Jokes apart , this song (recital I would say) is a very different attempt..
I've listened to song as many as 6 times and still listening as I wite this, but still clueless about the context of the song. Basically its a conversation between Kamal and Trisha and and at the end comes the class act, he proposes to her that is what I assume :-)   I Guess I need to write a seperate blog about the content of the song..

Overall , the album "Manmadhan Ambu" is a good entertainer and efforts has been made to make sure that it appeals to all sectors of the audience . This was my first impression about the album. Please don't hesitate to give your views too :-)

And before I sign off

                                                          THALAIVA YOU ROCK!!!!

Cheers,
Jai

Cricket , Khana aur Peena

Hey Guys. Hope everybody is doing good (All izz well ???) I have been missing in this circuit for around four months, becoming as lazy as ever. Lots of changes happening and oh ya its been happening pretty quickly than one can anticipate (As they say "Change is good").. Oh ya its really good..

The title "Cricket , Khana Aur Peena" flashed my mind sometime yesterday and I thought that it would be an apt blog to write (These are the  things Ive been doing here for the past 3 months or so)
Cricket is all over me , even I though I do not play often (I do not play well either!!) that doesn't stop me from enjoying cricket in what ever form it hits me, be it the long classic test matches or the tactful 50 overs game or even the so called T20 (Quick ***w job !!! Sorry for the choice of words!! Just wanted to make this blog more authentic for the so called Gen Y :-) ) Coming back to the topic oh ya cricket is becoming big and real big as days pass by. How ever I would rather pray that all the political shit going on around IPL , Modi ,etc... should not disturb ardent cricket fans.. Any hey the big news which has been going around last week was that Tendulya (Sachin) has joined Twitter and here is the link if you want to follow him http://twitter.com/sachin_rt and hey btw follow me on http://twitter.com/jaikanth01 for some good fun (Guaranteed).

Before I move on to the next part of this blog I congratulate Team India for winding up the WCT20 campaign pretty early and hope they take good rest @ Home and enjoy life (SPECIAL THANKS TO RAVINDER JADEJA)

Khana: Here is the part which is very close to me :-) I started with thinking "Awww God how do people cook daily??" But now things have changed and I'm enjoying cooking and trying out new dishes (No I'm serious) from Rasam to the complex (Atleast for me) Chicken Tikka and it is coming out well. Now I have realized that oh boy I'm now an eligible bachelor :-))

Peena: Hey if 'Khana' is close to me then this one is my favorite but it I do this after 'Khana' lolz. Friday and Saturday nights has been exciting and most of the time I sleep with blabbering weird stuff till I blackout. Oh the most painful part has been the Hangover. Getting up @ 11 and wondering what had happened and how did I land up in my room. Vodka (Smirn Off) has been my favorite till date. I'm going to miss this badly after I reach Chennai.

Oh well !!! See you Guys and have a great week ahead.

Have Fun and God bless all,
Jai

Hey guys I'm back. As promised earlier here goes the review of some of the novels which I read recently.

"Two States" by Chetan Bagath

So to start with something to relate with, this book is the continuation of the " 5 point someone". Chetan has managed to strike gold again, Kudos mate..
The story begins with the character Krish ,who is placed in IIM-A.

One fine day Mr.Fate smiles upon Krish. He meets the love of his life in the hostel mess. The way how the bonding develops between them is brought about in such a free flow style by Chetan keeps the reader drowned in the fantasy world which he created.

Twist and turns , there are many. Placements begins and somehow both of them manage to impress the respective recruiters. His lady love gets posted in chennai and our hero decides to opt for chennai as his preference for posting.

Krish somehow manages that and as the story unfolds they realise that they had to convince their respective parents and so they device a plan to go about it.

The last part of the story is how they suceed in midst of the ego clashes of their parents .

This book is a must read for those who are in love (well others can read it too :-) ahem..ahem)

To conclude I would rate this piece of wonder right at the top of the table. So go for it guys..

Have fun and God bless all,
Jai :-)

DON is back...

Yeah that's right Guys.. The DON is back.. Wondering who the DON is ????? Ok leaving that aside for now. Here I am sitting in front of my lappy on a boring sunday evening...
Weekends are becoming terribly boring now a days. Weekends pass off on wondering what to do..
Well , the news is I'm planning to write a novel kinda stuff, this time I'm serious (unlike last time, wen I had to stop due to various reasons!!!) I guess this must be the right time to start with something.

Planning to watch Nan Avan Illai - 2 , U c heights of boredom :-) Not in Theater obviously..

Earlier today I witnessed the Men in Blue win the Test series against SriLanka (2-0)
WOW Mahi is such a COOL MASCOT.. India has not lost a single test under his captaincy.
Look at the teams beaten - Australia , Pakisthan , Srilanka , England , Newzealand (Ignoring the weaker teams)
It is no easy job. There are a few idiotic, mentally retarded freaks who still say he is riding on LUCK (I've got two words for them **** **)
Had a glimpse on the recently released audio of 'PAIYA'. Music seems to be good (Not great though)

And with regard to the movie 'YOGI' it makes one wonder why producers waste their money. They must start realising that they are wasting other's time too , and why the hell is Ameer showing off his acting skills when he is so good in the directing horizon(remember 'RAM' , 'PARUTHAVEERAN'). Suddenly I remember somebody who did the same and is now nowwhere seen, if you have guessed it yeah its SJ Surya (NEW, AH..AHH just for you to recollect)

Oh ya I almost forgot to mention about the latest book of Chetan Bagath - "TWO STATES". Too good man , after a not so impressive 'The 3 Mistakes'. This book is supposed to be based on his own personal experiences and he has struck GOLD once more..Planning to write a review on that book very soon.. Have a shot at it, Fun Guarenteed .... Just started with the book 'I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY' - by Ravinder Singh, will do a review of that as well preety soon on completing it.. These kind of novels actually inspires one to read more and actually inflences people to write as well

As usual tried with some new music on my Guitar (Oh I love it) and tried my hand at singing as well. Not such a easy thing after all, I envy all with great voices. Yeah I do know that it is all because of their practice and perseverence. Let me keep trying.. You never know, I might actually sound bearable one day :-)

On that note I would SIGN OFF for now ( Wat SIGN OFF !! Wonder why people say sign off when they actually LOG OFF ha ha ...)

Have Fun and God bless all,
Jai :-)

A blog just to kill boredom

Yeah this blog is just to kill boredom..

Hey its 1am.. Wat do you think an ordinary man will be doing? Sleeping right!! Here I'm sitting in front of best friend (Its my laptop ofcourse).. This poor guy has been tolerating all my torture and harrasment for the past 3 years..This guy does have a good will power for sure.

Ok. Its been one of the most unusual days ever ever since I Completed College..

Firstly I woke up early,6AM.... WOW!! thats an achievement for a Lazy guy like me. Something inside me told me to go for a walk and I thought WHY NOT!!

Then came the best part of the day. While I was walking briskly with my Ipod (Best Friend No:2) plugged- in the joggers park nearby my place I noticed something phenominal..

If you have guessed what it actually is by now, Good job. Ya I happen to notice a beautiful girl (Atleast to my eyes she was seeming beautiful). Though I was gazing at her at frequent intervals, she rather seemed to ignore it (Despite the fact that she knows that I was looking at her.. Damm are these girls always like this???)

After a few rounds on the Track, I was slowly preapring to settle down to take some rest on one of the benches there. She was sitting in the bench which is quite close to the one where I sat..
But for my bad luck, she got up and started to walk on the track. By then I was forcing myself to make a resolution to come to the park every morning..

Making a resolution is no big deal.. Coping up with it is the main problem..

I decided to give another try. I got up and started walking along with her.I had a horrid time coping with her. One thing which I must mention that that her mobile phone was ringing at a frequency of 1 min.. Wonder wat do girls talk all day long right from Dawn to Dusk . I feel sorry for the innocent fathers (Or Boy Friends.. :-) plural) who keeps shelling out huge sum of money for recharges . Guess I need to spend a lifetime on researching about that, but no guarantee if I wouls suceed.

Ok. Having made the resolution, lets see how it goes tomorrow. If not for that girl..I must sustain the Habit atleast for my health sake..

And dont worry guys I'll keep you updated on that Girl often :-)

Just Wanted to share this Just for the sake of Killing time (Sorry Guys).. So tomorrow is Saturday. Party time Yipeeee!!!!!

Have Fun and God Bless All.
Jai :-)

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy evening - Robert Frost

A poem I wish to share... Lovely words with deep passion.. Relish each and every time I read it.

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

- Robert Frost

Have Fun and God Bless All
